Rome : Architectural Musings Image 18 Previous Photo Next Photo Back to Photo Index Page
The temple of Hercules next to the river Tiber has a set of circular columns around the outside with a high brick and glass structure in the centre. The circular design does not feel Roman to me and the central area was very small. The temple is surrounded by a small park area next to very busy road with a church tourist trap opposite. Considering this temple is an important landmark for Rome, it is very easy to miss due to lack of information around it.
