The Alexander Nevsky is one of the largest Eastern Orthodox cathedrals in Europe and was built between 1904 - 1912. The Cathedral is a cross-domed basilica with a central gold-plated dome that is 148ft / 45m high and was designed by Alexander Pomerantsev.
